Associate

John brings a wealth of experience to the firm, recently having served as General Counsel at Broward College where he negotiated a $145MM investment management contract. Prior to joining Broward College, he served as Acting General Counsel to a family of real estate investment companies with ~$300MM assets under management and advised on all manner of corporate structuring and entity creation, securities crowdfunding offerings, real estate acquisitions, employment, and contract matters. He also has litigated multimillion-dollar employment collective actions in federal court, in addition to having served as Senior Tax Counsel/Legislative Liaison for the Tennessee Department of Revenue and as a judicial clerk on the Tennessee Supreme Court.

He obtained his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where he served as a Notes Editor on the Vanderbilt Law Review and wrote a note that was published and cited by several amicus briefs before the United States Supreme Court. He also holds an MBA from City University.
